This costume dress is absolutely gorgeous! I think it’s even prettier in real life than the pictures can show.It appears to be so well-made that I’m sure it would hold up for a while, assuming it’s not trampled to death (some reviews on other dresses complained about dresses not holding up more than 3 or 4 days after their daughter did everything but sleep in it for 3 days straight.) I’m not the type of person who would let my daughter wear this kind of costume dress for rough and tumble play here, there, and everywhere. But anyway, the point is, it’s beautiful and, compared to most other dress-up costumes, the quality is top of the line. And even more, the price does not reflect the quality-compared to marked up costumes that carry a brand name (like Disney).However, I did return it, but only because I originally bought several princess dresses so that my daughter could try them all on for size and decide which she would best like to wear to the Princess Tea Party where she celebrated her birthday. Despite all my efforts to convince her to choose this one (or the other one that looks almost exactly like it- same brand, style, just diff. size), to my disappointment, she chose a different (less beautiful) one that looked like her favorite princess, Anna’s dress.I almost kept it because it felt so wrong to send back. But, like I said, it would be torture for me to watch her just wear it around the house to play dress up and risk getting play “make-up” or other stains on, or worse- seeing other kids wearing it and mistreating it. Im just too uptight with things like that. Better for me to get her cheap dresses, or thrift store finds for that kind of play. By the time they’re all worn out , she’s grown out of them anyway.
